Operation Concrete (Opération béton) (1955) is a documentary made by French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, preceding his work in narrative, fiction film.

Also Known As: Operacja 'Beton'

Filming Locations: Barrage Grande-Dixence, Kanton Wallis, Switzerland.

Plot?

Well there is a lot of concrete being manufactured, and machines and conveyors, and trucks and shots of the quarry from which the concrete arises.

Opération Béton is the very first film by Jean-Luc Godard. Apres returning to Switzerland, Godard went to work as an ouvrier at a dam building site, using the money he earned to buy a camera, and il a fait a short documentary about the building of the dam.
