Unofficial Heretics sign, or 'logo' created by Peter Burnett and Craig Gibson in 2015 for the revival of The Heretics. The image is in The Public Domain and may be used and abused, remixed and stolen as all who wish to may see fit to do so.

The design is reputed to have come to Gibson as he sat drinking in Hector's of Stockbridge, Edinburgh, one afternoon, during the bar's 'Tappy Days' season of 2015. In examining the Hector's sign on the door (a stylised 'H') Gibson is said to have noticed how the two pillars of the letter resembled two candlesticks, and conceived the design, executed by Burnett, based on the notion that the flames of these two candlesticks could equally, if correctly rendered, resemble diabolical horns.
