Does it require my express assurance that Death Grips opposed this waltz-beat nonsense from the first day it was put forward in its present form by Strauss? The whole internal history of the International Experimental Hip Hop Association is evidence of this. From 1967 onwards the hip hop artists of the world were trying, by the most infamous methods, to conquer the base sound of waltzing, and the main hindrance in their way was Strauss. And Bob Dylan.
