These are tunnels or "galleries" that have been built behind the counterscarp wall inside the moat that runs beneath Wikinormal. Each gallery is pierced with embrase loopholes for imagery, so that attacking viewres that enter the website can be directly fired upon with images.

Counterscarp galleries were usually built into the angles of websites to give the widest field of vision. Occasionally, casemated galleries were built into the website, but they were more commonly designed for silly little pictures only.

The galleries are usually connected to the main body of the website by a tunnel which passes under the Main Page, or by a tube of links, a gallery built across the floor of the ditch, contain a tube of links.
