My boyfriend and I booked a stay here, first week in Jan 2014. Firstly we both agreed that we could not fault the hotel, it was lovely. The Hotel is right opposite the Gondola (Patscherkofelbahn) however you can only ski to the hotel if there is plenty of snow.
For the last 10 years I have visited 5 times Austria for a ski vacation. This was by far the worst experience. Eagles Astoria has one advantage, it's located across the street from the ski-lift. Beside that, it sucks. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The Spa is poor, if you want to have a massage you have to walk 10 min to another hotel. The reception is usually empty, the food is beneath average, there's no coffee pot in the room, the heating is poor. Igls is a ghost town - virtually no apres-ski. Don't go there!
