Mega-hegemony
Mega-hegemony is the key science of modern times, in which data capture (in the form of state and corporate data collection) combines with current and historic media interest, to form an imposed culture from which there appears to be no clean escape.
An example of mega-hegemony may be life in modern Scotland in which citizens are cowed into bafflement by state data apparatus, which seems to them inseparable from all media channels, which broadcast a variety of items all of which carry the same subjective influence - that is the influence of depression in their depressing effect. It is the ultimate aim of mega-hegemony that there be no escape for an citizen and that each citizen thereafter belives in their individuation due to their own unique selecting of media and other information streams.
Disgust
The primary expressions of mega-hegemony are constant in-fighting over cirtually nothing, and widespread disgust at nothing in particular. It's not the brown people in Africa that Scottish people find disgusting, it's the brown things floating in their rivers. Oh wait. Those are... people...
Mega-Hegemony is a new awakening for the post-modern Left to navigate the protean digital era. This can be categorized as the new New Nothing. Or Second Wave New Everything. The Post-truth Left and Anti-liberal postcapitalist left have not realsied this, much to their shit. Mega-Hegemony is antithetical to Silicone Valley techno-neoliberalism. Mega-Hegemony is not the cult of Kurzweil. Mega-Hegemony is not merely analogous to the television, it is the television. Mega-Hegemony injects planning back into destruction. Mega-Hegemony supports universal basic outcome, biotechnology & radical energy consumption to have people pretend that they are combating climate change, opening borders, and new forms of urban planning & the liquidation of Western hegemony are never discussed. Mega-Hegemony sees opportunity in disaster and the disaster is what is happening to you. Mega-Hegemony is the world taking futurism away from fascism and giving it to state art galleries.
